Kaballi-Raid was the factor of our eldest brother’s leaving Srinagar and working outside the state. It was our father who instructed him to leave Srinagar in search of a job at Delhi in the year 1947. Father thought that he would be an anchor to fall back upon in case he (father) would have to flee Kashmir with so many children. Father had given him recommendatory letters on Mr. Haksar and others. Destiny took him to Bihar. There in Bihar, while on job he completed Bachelor of Law from Patna University. After law and after qualifying Bihar Public Service examination he joined Bihar Civil Service.Then over a period of time he retired in Bihar from the post of Sub District Magistrate.
He got married at a very young age to Pushpa Bhagati D/O Late Sri Srikanth Bhagati. He has seven children.
Eldest Ravinder Nath Bhat is B.E (Mechanical) from R.A.C Allahabad and is serving the state government as executive engineer. He married Dr. Madhu Dhar (B.D.S).
Second eldest son, Madan Mohan Bhat, after completing M. Sc (Zoology) from Bhagalpur University, got appointed as Research Officer Government of India. He is working as Senior Class One Officer in G.O.I. He married Usha (Guddi) Raina who is herself M. Sc in Zoology.
Ruby has motherly type traits and is full of love and affection for all and after graduation got married to very capable doctor, Dr. Ramesh Wali. Shalija did PhD in Hindi; she is the first in the Bhat Dynasty to have accomplished this feat. She got married to a straight-forward person, Dr. Behari Lal Ambardhar. She is a dashing orator.
Once in a big conference,I remember, she was introduced to the public, as the STAR SPEAKER. She is now a professor in Baroda University. Kiran (Puppy) is an embodiment of endurance and a talented girl in arts, after graduation she had opened a boutique by the name of HUNER near The National Hospital Complex which she closed after getting married to a wonderful person, Mr. Vinod Shekher, a B.E and business entrepreneur.
After completing graduation, the youngest son Ramesh, is in business. He is most obedient and innovative.
